Hunter/Ronson toured in 1975, with a UK tour in March and early April 1975, and a US tour in April/May. Devine’s normally reliable book seems to be missing some of the US tour dates, such as April 18/19 (?) at the Uptown Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You can see some photos from one of these gigs here; the photographer says this was March 20 1975 which is impossible as the duo were in Sheffield that day. Lots of misinformation out there.
Still, it seems to have been a great tour. The bootleg described here shows that there were Ronson as well as Hunter songs in the setlist:
- Once Bitten Twice Shy
- Lounge Lizard
- Angel No 9
- Who Do You Love
- White Light/White Heat
- Boy
- Play Don’t Worry
- The Truth, The Whole Truth, Nothin’ But The Truth
- Roll Away The Stone
- Slaughter On 10th Avenue
- The Golden Age Of Rock ‘n’ Roll/All The Way From Memphis
- All The Young Dudes
- The Girl Can’t Help It
Of course this is not complete and a bootleg is not the most reliable source, but you get the idea. Songs 3,5,7,10 and 13 are from Ronson’s solo albums, Slaughter on 10th Avenue and Play Don’t Worry.
It’s a shame that Proper Music’s Ian Hunter box Stranded in Reality has nothing from this tour.
