These images are taken from the December 2005 beta of Windows Vista, to illustrate what I consider to be bad dialogs or UI. See my Blog entry, where you can also add your own comments.

bad dialog asking whether to unblock Explorer
Hmm, should I unblock Windows Explorer? It's a Microsoft application and part of Windows - but is it an evil extension?

Bad dialog asking whether to run a DLL as an app
Excuse me, I think I know what an App is, but what is a DLL? And how does Unknown Publisher help me decide?

Bad dialog showing different image formats as identical
I appear to have two identical files, so why are they listed twice? In reality, one is a .GIF and one is .JPG - shouldn't Explorer reveal this difference to me without my having to go into View Options?

More information and comments in my Blog entry.
